My mom gave me this recipe. It was a childhood favorite! Crabby, cheesy, tasty! You can freeze the English muffins with the mixture if you want, and then thaw and use as needed.
1 stick butter, softened
1 jar (5oz) sharp old English cheese spread
6 oz can lump crab meat
2 tsp mayonnaise
1 tsp season salt (lawry's)
1 package English muffins, split
- Preheat broiler on high
- In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients. Spread the mixture on the split English muffins. Arrange on a cookie sheet and freeze. Once frozen put in plastic bags to store.
- Broil until the cheese mixture is bubbly and slightly browned. Cut into 8 pieces and serve hot.
